New Zealand Indy car driver Scott Dixon has crashed out of the latest Indy car race at the Texas Motor Speedway.

Dixon was in a tight battle with Ed Carpender on the 212nd lap when Carpender made contact with Dixon's car, forcing the four-time champion to hit the wall and bounce off into the middle of the track.

"I was pretty angry with that one," said Dixon.

"I don't know what the hell was going on."

The race was won by Graham Rahal, who only led for one lap during the entire race.

Rahal won by 0.0080 of a second.
