The Brisbane Tens isn't kicking off until February 2017 but Suncorp Stadium got a little taste of what to expect when 14 teams from around the world take centre stage for the inaugural tournament.
All Black Israel Dagg and Wallaby Israel Folau took part in a media day challenge to launch the event.
Competing head-to-head in a variety of challenges from rugby golf to rugby bowling, Dagg and Folau made Suncorp Stadium their own personal playground in front of Australasian media.
In scenes reminiscent of the recent Bledisloe Cup in Sydney, it was the Kiwi who ran rampant over his Australian foe as Dagg dominated, despite being in hostile territory.
It was so nearly a clean sweep across the five events for the All Black as he comfortably won the first four events, rugby golf, football penalties, American football and, much to the chagrin of former AFL star Folau, the Aussie Rules kicking comp.
Folau managed to prevent an embarrassing sweep with a last-ditch effort in the rugby bowling to pull even with Dagg in the fifth and final event.
Despite a 4-0 win for the Kiwis, it was great to see the events played in good spirits in Brisbane following three weeks of banter between All Blacks and Wallabies supporters.
