Your guide to the NRL finals week one

The NRL finals get underway on Friday when the Broncos host the Gold Coast Titans.

The order of the games will be different this year due to ground clashes in Sydney and Brisbane, with the Sydney Swans hosting Greater Western Sydney at ANZ Stadium, while the Wallabies are hosting the Springboks at Suncorp Stadium, both on Saturday night.

Usually, it would be the Storm hosting the Cowboys in the weekend's first final game on Friday night, however it will be the Broncos hosting the Titans.

All times are NZT and stats are from the 2016 season. 

Friday September 9       

Elimination Final: (5) Brisbane Broncos v (8) Gold Coast Titans, Suncorp Stadium, 9:55pm

-    The Broncos beat the Titans 24-16 back in round five.

-    The Broncos are on a five game winning streak.

The Titans have won two of their last five.

Broncos against top eight sides: Won five, lost six.

Titans against top eight sides: Won two, lost eight, drawn one.

The winner will face the loser of the Storm v Cowboys match while the loser will be eliminated. 

     Saturday September 10               

The Sharks beat the Raiders 40-16 back in round seven, while the Raiders beat the Sharks 30-14 in round 22. 

The Raiders have not lost since round 14 when they lost to the Broncos 26-18

The Sharks have lost four of their last five matches. 

Raiders against top eight sides: Won seven, lost four.

Sharks against top eight sides: Won eight, lost three, drawn one.

The Winner will advance to the Preliminary Finals while the loser will face the winner of the Panthers v Bulldogs match. 

     Saturday September 10                       

     Qualifying Final: (1) Melbourne Storm v (4) North Queensland Cowboys, AAMI Park, 9:55pm

The Storm have beaten the Cowboys twice in 2016, 15-14 in round ten and 16-8 in round 21.

The Storm have won three of their last five games.

The Cowboys have also won three of their last five games.

Storm against top eight sides: Won seven, lost four.

Cowboys against top eight sides: Won six, lost five.

The winner will advance to the Preliminary Finals while the loser will face the winner of the Broncos v Titans match.    

Sunday September 11  

Elimination Final: (6) Penrith Panthers v (7) Canterbury Bulldogs, Allianz Stadium, 6:10pm                             

The Bulldogs beat the Panthers 19-16 in round two.

The Panthers are on a five game winning streak.

The Bulldogs have won two of their last five.

Panthers against top eight sides: Won four, lost seven.

Bulldogs against top eight sides: Won four, lost six.

The winner will face the loser of the Raiders v Sharks game while the loser will be eliminated.
