Lydia Ko's solid start to the LPGA Taiwan Championship in Taipei has been marred by a double bogey, leaving her three shots off the pace after the opening round.
The top-ranked Kiwi also fired four birdies in carding two-under 70 for a share of 10th place alongside Olympic bronze medallist Shanshan Feng and two others.
Ko is looking to back up her nine-stroke win in last year's Taiwan Championship at Miramar Golf and Country Club, and add another LPGA title to the four she has already won this year.
Japan's Sakura Yokomine bogeyed the final hole but still held the lead with a five-under 67, one stroke ahead of Canada's Brooke Henderson, Paula Creamer of the US and Korean Amy Yang.
