The All Blacks have unveiled a radical new alternate jersey to be worn in their final tour match against France on Sunday (NZ time).

Manufacturer Adidas took heed of the players' feedback in producing a design that was innovative, while at the same time respectful of tradition.

With angled asymmetrical logos across the chest, Director of rugby Simon Cartwright was aware the jersey would get fans talking.

"The All Blacks are the most creative team in world rugby, and what we have designed is an alternate jersey that we think matches that creativity, in appearance and technology. The result is a striking, new design inspired by the team’s creativity and their dynamic style of play."

All Blacks captain Kieran Read was enthusiastic about the new look.

"For us, it's rare that we get to wear the alternate jersey, so we’re genuinely excited to run out in a completely different and innovative design for our Test against France."
