Crooked Feed catches up with All Black halfback T.J. Perenara, as he gets set to put a bow on a brilliant season, both individually and collectively.
Perenara has played a major part off the bench for the national side this year and was a key cog for the Super Rugby-winning Hurricanes.
But a form slump midway through the season led to the 24-year-old's omission from Steve Hansen's first squad of 2016 – although he was called in as injury cover.
Perenara has used that snub as motivation - and admits it was a turning point for the best campaign of his young career.
