With the race under yellow flags (due to his abandoned car) rival teams including Mercedes and his old Ferrari crew assembled en masse to give one of the sport's truly good blokes an impromptu guard of honour before he was met by his wife and son.
In tears the whole time, he later said he didn’t deserve such a reaction. I for one reckon he did – especially on a miserable day where his crash revealed a rare glimpse into the human side of what is so often a heartless sport.Newshub.
