While the All Blacks are unveiling a brand new jersey at Soldier Field this weekend, they'll be hopeful it doesn't bring them bad luck.
The latest kit has adopted a flash-sounding 'chasis' tech, with Adidas delivering fabric innovation, a more personalised fit and greater comfort.
Newshub sports reporter Ross Karl got up close and personal on Crooked Feed. But the boys need to beware - sometimes new togs don't work out the way they should.

Remember the lime green Highlanders jersey?
Well, most Southlanders will want to forget it. For some reason, for the last-ever outing at Carisbrook, the blue-and-golders were resplendent in something resembling a new Gatorade flavour - or perhaps a potent toilet cleaner.
And it didn't work on the pitch either - they lost to the Force 21-14, sending their playoff hopes down the dunny.

It was April 13, 1996, and Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United were fully expected to take care of little old Southampton at the Dell.
But 3-0 down at halftime, things obviously had to change. What wasn't expected was a new strip for the next 45 minutes. The manager said: "Get that kit off. You're getting changed."
Did it work? Well they won the second half 1-0 thanks to a goal from Lee Sharpe. The kit was retired two days later and United went on to win the league.

Well, the Colombian women's cycling team has lived to tell the tale. It was September 2014 and the material was beautifully cut-out to create the impression of bare flesh.
The team was backed by the country's Minister of Sport, who obviously had a fantastic sense of humour. Funnily enough the design didn't catch on.

Now golf isn't the most exciting sport in the world, so maybe it's a good thing when the players decide to dress like plonkers.
Two prime examples are Ian Poulter and John Daly. Poults is known for his passion, love of Arsenal and somewhat dubious dress sense, while Daly is a hard-drinking, hard-smoking, hard-gambling, hard-time nutbar - but we love him.
Impossible to ignore, they can never take away those two major wins (1991 PGA, 1995 Open). God bless the Wild Thing.

It was back in 2011, pre-World Cup, that England launched a new kit. Excitement was at fever pitch - I mean, they'd won in 2003 and made the final in 2007.
A dark horse for the 2011 event in NZ, they became even darker with the ridiculous choice of a black second kit. Even John Key was outraged, calling Martin Johnson's men 'wannabes'.
Did it work? Of course, it didn't - they lost to France in the quarter-finals - still, at least they got through the group stages.
Today, the alternate shirt is more of a dark blue - probably a wise decision.
