Despite an embarrassing defeat by the Kangaroos in Perth last month, the Kiwis are confident ahead of their Four Nations clash with the Australian side this weekend.
They've been bolstered by their victory against England in the first match of the tournament and helped along with training in one of the UK's flashest facilities.
It was the final drop goal from Shaun Johnson that tipped the scales for the Kiwis against England in their first Four Nations fight.
A drop goal critics are belatedly quibbling over.
"At the end of the day we won and we won a very tough game that we're proud of," said the halfback.
"People can say what they want to say about my situation with the drop goal, or whatever."
The win didn't earn them many English fans, but it has set them up for this weekend's match with Australia.
And they need it after the 26-6 shocker in Perth.
"A lot went wrong - we didn't defend well I thought that was something we definitely improved on with England the way we defended and kept turning up for each other," noted forward Tohu Harris.
Tohu Harris has become a star by extension in the UK after his five-month-old son giggling through the haka made headlines, a viral rival for Kangaroo Trent Merrin's online dance hit.
"Yeah I actually have seen it, yeah he can move can't he - it's impressive."
So maybe a dance-off is on the cards?
"Hey I'm not throwing anything out there."
The Kiwis are in just about the best head space to take on the Kangaroos, training in just about the best place to work on their fancy footwork, on and off the field.
