The Kiwis have taken over the training facilities of English football heavyweights Liverpool in the build-up to the Four Nations final on Monday morning [NZT].

The World’s number one ranked rugby league side presented Liverpool’s manager, Jurgen Klopp, with a New Zealand jersey and then delivered a stirring haka in front of the German, his team and staff.

The decider takes place on the hallowed turf of Liverpool’s Anfield stadium, a site of many iconic moments for one of the World's most famous football clubs.

The Kiwis and their hosts are currently sharing Melwood training base in Liverpool.

Simon Mignolet, the Reds giant backup goalkeeper, standing at 1.93m uploaded a video of the haka onto social media, which he described as an honour but at the same time ‘frightening’.

It is the second year running the Kiwis have visited Melwood – Stephen Kearney also met with Klopp at a training session on their 2015 tour.
