Highlights: Manchester United stay in the hunt after a winning visit to West Bromwich Albion F.C

Manchester United have registered one of their better performances of the season to date with a convincing 2-0 victory over the Baggies at the Hawthorns.

The visitors dominated the statistics against the team that sit one spot below them in seventh on the Premier League table.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic opened the scoring with a fifth minute stunner that saw winger Jesse Lingard take a long ball up the right hand side of the pitch and placing an inch-perfect cross for the Swedish striker to connect with.

It set the flow of the game with United always having the upper hand, keeping the likes of West Brom's Salomon Rondon very quiet.

The second goal was all Ibrahimovic with the 35-year-old receiving a short ball from Wayne Rooney before skipping through two places and rolling in a deflected shot, putting the result beyond doubt.

The match was punctuated nicely with star midfielder Paul Pogba jumping into the stands after the match to present a fan with his shirt.

The result sees United retain their spot in sixth, drawing level with London-side Tottenham on 30 points.
