Joseph Parker has weighed in at 111.9kg for his WBO heavyweight title fight, the heaviest Parker has ever been for a fight.

It's three kilos more than when he knocked out Alexander Dimitrenko in October, but its good bulk according to Parker who believes it's 112Kgs of pure muscle.

The extra weight is the product of a new strength and conditioning regime, and team Parker reckon they're reaping the benefits.

"I've never seen him so focused," said Parker's trainer Kevin Barry.

"I've never seen him so sharp he's hitting harder than I've ever felt before."

Barry believes that added power will bring a victory, but not a knockout.

"No-ones every knocked Andy Ruiz out in the amateurs or the pros," said Barry.

"In fact no-one's ever knocked Andy down. He is one very, very tough fighter."

He's certainly not a light fighter, and for all the talk of a massive weight loss, Ruiz tipped the scales at 116 kilos, slightly heavier but looking trimmer than his last fight in September.

And after a build up that's been notable for it's lack of aggression, Parker's finally talking tough about how he'll employ a sizeable height and reach advantage

I'm going to punish him from the outside, I'm going to pierce his face with my jab," said Parker.

And while Ruiz has never headlined a fight night, Parker's used to being the main event

"Trust me. I'm relaxed, I'm ready to go," said Parker.

The road to the title, just a day away from it's destination.
