All Blacks sevens boss Clark Laidlaw coaching from a distance

Clark Laidlaw believes the New Zealand Sevens team is tracking well, albeit in his absence.

Laidlaw still has five months with English club London Irish before taking up the role full time, which means when his team kick off again in Wellington next week, he'll be long gone.

The world series is already two tournaments old, but this is his first training run as head coach, part of a fleeting but valuable visit.
