Blackcap wicketkeeper Luke Ronchi looking for T20 series sweep over Bangladesh

Blackcap wicketkeeper Luke Ronchi is confident the Blackcaps can keep the momentum going as they head into the T20 series against Bangladesh.

After sweeping Bangladesh in the ODI series, Ronchi thinks the key to victory is by just concentrating on getting the basics right.

"It was good to win the ODI series 3-0," said Ronchi.

"We want to keep the momentum going. We have to make sure we do our things then we don't have to worry about them.

"If we do our thing we should win."

Ronchi said he's looking forward to seeing new batsmen Tom Bruce in action for the Blackcaps after the 25-year-old impressed for the Central Stags in the Super Smash.

"It will be good to see Tom Bruce get a chance. He has done well domestically for the last couple of years.

"I think it's good, guys who are out of the squad putting pressure on the guys in the squad.

"That should make everybody play better and the level of skill rises."

After some disappointing form in India, Ronchi was dropped for the Chappell-Hadlee series. After being recalled for Bangladesh, Ronchi still believes it was the best thing for his playing career.

"I have said it before, it is something that needed to happen.

"It was good to head back and play for Wellington and build some confidence and come back in a more relaxed manner."

The T20 series between the Blackcaps and Bangladesh starts tonight in Napier with the remaining games to be played at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui.
