A cloud has been cast over the British and Irish Lions forward pack after yet another England player was ruled out of the upcoming Six Nations starting next month.
Chris Robshaw, one of England's most experienced forwards, was ruled out for up to 12 weeks after undergoing shoulder surgery.
It means he will not only miss out on England's entire Six Nations campaign but will miss a bulk of competitive rugby for his club side London-based Harlequins.
"Chris Robshaw will undergo surgery on his left shoulder today to repair an injury sustained in the match against Worcester Warriors on New Year's Day," his club side Harlequins said in a statement.
"He is expected to be out of competitive action for around 12 weeks."
Robshaw is expected to be announced in the Lions side for the upcoming tour to New Zealand, however his injury is likely to keep him out until April at the earliest.
The news will do nothing to please rugby fans in Europe with a host of England forwards including stars Maro Itoje, Billy Vunipola, Mako Vunipola and James Haskell injured in the past three months.
