Kiwi rally ace Hayden Paddon aiming high in 2017

After making history in 2016 by becoming the first New Zealander to win a round of the World Rally Championship, Hayden Paddon has already written the pace notes for his run at the title.

His first goal is getting the jump on four time champ Sebastien Ogier when the WRC begins later this month.

He spends his life looking like he is out of control - but Paddon is actually the opposite.

Every turn is planned, each jump expected. 2017, however, is a drive into the unknown.

The new year brings all new much quicker cars - not since the 1980s, and the madness of the fire breathing group-b cars, has the WRC been this extreme.
