Liberty University’s Quinn Ryan capped off a big night for his team by scoring a hat-trick with this ridiculous lacrosse-style goal.

It’s not as easy as Ryan makes it look and the rules of hockey are in play here.

If the goal scorer’s stick was above the crossbar it would be considered as playing the puck with a high-stick, leading the officials to call the play dead.

However, Ryan had the presence of mind to keep his stick just low enough to flick the puck behind the unsuspecting goalie’s shoulder.

Liberty went on to beat Rutgers University 10-0, but surely all their beaten down opponents could do is stand and applaud, with a display of skill like that.

Quinn Ryan’s out-of-nowhere play was impressive enough to be featured at number two on Sportscenter’s Top 10 Monday [NZT].

While he’s not currently a prospect for any NHL team, a few clubs might be calling up now to secure his services.

Watch the video above to see the play unfold and marvel in Ryan’s jaw-dropping skill.
