Highlights: Manchester City ousted from Champions League by Monaco

AS Monaco have stunned Manchester City 3-1 at home to move through to the Champions League quarter-finals on away goals.

Trailing 5-3 after the first leg, the hosts shot out of the blocks against the more fancied City side, hitting into the lead on aggregate inside the first 30 minutes.

More accurate across the pitch and far more urgent with the ball, the visitors struggled to cope with Monaco's attacking prowess, despite missing star striker Radamel Falcao.

However, coming out of the sheds in the second half, Monaco seemed to sit back and turn off as City went on an attacking rampage, having a number of shots denied by last ditch defence.

And it was star winger Leroy Sane who turned the tie back into the Blues favour in the 71st minute.

Tiemoue Bakayoko's header in the 77th minute then turned a tie back into Monaco's favour.

City's loss means that Leicester City will be the sole English side in the Champions League final eight after the Premier League champions went through with a 2-0 win over Sevilla on Wednesday (NZ time).
