Poor run of form for Racing 92 continues as Dan Carter booed off the field

Dan Carter is bouncing back from being booed off the field by getting back into the gym, according to a video posted to his Twitter account on Sunday.

The rugby player was booed off the field in Racing 92's heavy 38-15 defeat to Victor Vito's side La Rochelle in the Top 14 competition.

Making his first appearance for the side since being caught drink-driving last month, Carter was unable to add anything to the team which has experienced a horror 2016/17 season after being crowned French champions last season.

The crowd's impatience was obvious as they showered the 35-year-old in jeers, whistles and boos when the dual Rugby World Cup winner was replaced with a quarter of the match to go.

Carter posted a strange black and white video yesterday afternoon of him in a gym, staring intently at the camera.

Financial penalties were imposed on Carter after his alleged drink driving incident with Racing 92 boss Jacky Lorenzetti suggesting he was guilty of "loving the party too much" in an extended interview last week.
