Video: Oklahoma City Thunder forward Taj Gibson turns into quarterback to hit incredible buzzer beater

Steven Adams new teammate Taj Gibson has made quite the impact since joining the Oklahoma City Thunder last week.

Gibson has brought a much needed spark to the team, but his most recent play might be the best of the season.

With three seconds remaining before halftime in the Thunder’s match against the Portland Trailbazers on Friday [NZT], Gibson intercepted an in-bounds pass from Blazers forward Pat Connaughton and threw a 61-foot bomb to hit the miracle shot.

You could have mistaken the 31-year old for an NFL quarterback or even Stephen Curry with his impressive shot from inside his own half.

Gibson and his teammates were ecstatic as the basket put the Thunder in the lead 60-57 heading into halftime.

A number of NFL teams are in the hunt for a new quarterback next season, and might have to consider Gibson after his impressive touchdown pass.

Numerous NBA players took to twitter to talk about the ridiculous shot.

The Thunder ended up losing the match 114-109.
