Video: Hughie Fury will out-smart 'flawed' Joseph Parker in WBO heavyweight title fight

Joseph Parker's reign is WBO Heavyweight Champion will be a short one according to colourful English boxing promoter Frank Warren.

Warren, who just so happens to manage the career of the Kiwi's first challenger, Hughie Fury, believes his fighter will 'outsmart' Parker when the meet at Vector Arena on May 6 in Auckland.

"He's got a fantastic boxing brain," Warren said.

"He's a thinking fighter and he's had the best preparation of any young fighter I can think of for a number of years."

Despite Fury not having beaten a top 10 ranked opponent in his undefeated 20-win career, Warren said his charge has a great fighting pedigree, and the sparring provided by his cousin, former champion Tyson Fury, leaves him in a position to truly threaten the unbeaten record of the talented New Zealander.

"He's never been on the floor as an amateur or a pro, he won the junior world heavyweight championships, so he's the real deal and he's matured in his professional career.

"Listen, [Parker] is a good fighter, don't get me wrong, he's a very good fighter, but like all fighters, there are flaws.

"We all know what fighters do well, it's what he doesn't do well. That's where Hughie's so smart."

Joseph Parker will be looking to extend his undefeated streak to 23 with a win over the Brit in Auckland.
