HURRICANES 38 - 28 WARATAHS
FULLTIME: The Hurricanes pick up their third straight win after edging the Waratahs 38-28. Remembering it was 33-7 at the break. Poor first half by the Waratahs, but even poorer second half by the Hurricanes.
82mins: Irae Simon goes over the line for the Tahs, but his held up.
80mins: The Hurricanes want one more to secure a bonus point. The siren has sounded but they want to keep playing.
79mins: Last chance for the Tahs to score but they drop the ball and that will be the game for the Hurricanes.
77mins: RED CARD HURRICANES: Beauden Barrett is given his second yellow and that means Barrett will be having an early shower. The Waratahs are appealing for a penalty try, but it is not given.
75mins: Vince Aso intercepts the ball and that is the game..... I take that back, as the Waratahs had a penalty advantage.
73mins: Close game heading into crunch time. The Hurricanes have a scrum inside the Waratahs half and will look to put the icing on the cake. They have been poor in the second half.
70mins: TRY WARATAHS: Andrew Kellaway scores the Waratahs fourth. Easy try off the scrum and now the away side trail by 10 with nine remaining.
69mins: The try is not awarded as you could not see the ball on the ground. But the Tahs still have a five metre scrum.
68mins: The away side crosses the line and are claiming a try. So the referee wants to take a look.
67mins: The Waratahs have possession and they are very close to the Hurricanes trying. They are searching for their fourth of the match.
64mins: The Hurricanes dominate the scrum and turn the ball over. The Tahs have a lineout just outside the 22, and it takes a while, but they eventually walk into the Canes 22.
62mins: Jordie Barrett clears the ball and Bryce Hegarty makes a break through the middle and finds Israel Folau in support. But the play comes to nothing as they are eventually tackled into touch. But somewhere in the play, the Hurricanes knock the ball forward.
60mins: Hurricanes have another scrum inside their half as we head into the final quarter of the match. The Hurricanes look likely to pick up their third straight win of the season, but you never know.
56mins: Hurricanes have a scrum just inside their half. They go for the kick over the top and Wes Goosen nearly catches the ball but it bounces out and into touch.
54mins: TRY HURRICANES: Ngani Laumape scores his second. Beauden Barrett makes a nice counter run and finds his second-five on the wing and he scores the Canes sixth try of the match.

50mins: Nick Phipps makes his way onto the field, replacing try scorer Jake Gordon at halfback.
48mins: The Hurricanes have some rare possession, but drop the ball cold off the lineout. The Waratahs have a spring in their step and sense an opportunity to really get back into the match.
47mins: TRY WARATAHS: Jake Gordon scores his third try of the season after making a break through the middle to score under the posts. Game on!
46mins: It has been all Waratahs to start the second half. They win another penalty and have a lineout inside the Hurricanes 22.
44mins: Waratahs win a penalty as the Hurricanes were offside at the breakdown.
42mins: TRY WARATAHS: Bernard Foley makes a run down the blindside and Jake Gordon is put into space. Gordon finds Bryce Hegarty who scores in the corner.
41mins: The Waratahs have a good chance early to score but lose the ball. Both sides now enter their third game of force back in the match.
40mins: The second half is underway in Wellington.
HALFTIME: It has been on-way traffic in the first half as the Hurricanes are crushing the Waratahs 33-7 at the break.
39mins: The Hurricanes make a break from a scrum in their own half and just like that they are in Tahs territory.
38mins: Will Skelton breaks through the middle and looks to run right over Jordie Barrett but fails. Somehow the ball spills out and the Canes go on the counter attack.
37mins: TRY HURRICANES: The Waratahs stuff up the lineout and Mark Abbott dives on the ball to score the Hurricanes fifth of the night.
36mins: Reed Prinsep makes a break and goes very close to scoring, but is tackled into touch as he goes to put the ball down.
35mins: The Waratahs look to shift the ball right towards Taqele Naiyaravoro, but the Hurricanes saw it coming and ruin things for the away side who have now lost the ball.
33mins: The Waratahs are inside the Hurricanes 22, and will have a scrum. Canes hooker Ricky Riccitelli is currently down injured.
30mins: TRY HURRICANES: Wes Goosen scores a beauty in the corner off a set piece. With Barrett off the field. Tj Perenara attempt the conversion.
29mins: Jordie Barrett leaves the field for a concussion Test.
28mins: Possible try to the Hurricanes. Beaden Barrett stabs the kick through and Matt Proctor dives on the loose ball, but it looked like Bryce Hegarty won the race tot he ball, but took the ball back into the in-goal. So it will be a scrum to the Hurricanes.
27mins: Beauden Barrett returns to the field after seving 10 minutes in the sin-bin.
26mins: The Hurricanes continue to dominate possession and are moving the ball quickly through the hands as they edge towards the 22. Referee currently has a penalty advantage for the Hurricanes
24mins: The Waratahs are right back into the match, due to Beauden Barrett being in the sin-bin. Both sides take part in a game of force back again, but the Hurricanes now decide to slow things up.

16mins: Bernard Foley breaks the line and the Waratahs are inside the Hurricanes 22 for the first time in the match.
16mins: Both sides take part in a game of force back, and eventually, the Waratahs decide to run the ball, but Michael Fatialofa is pinned for a high tackle and the Waratahs will have a lineout inside Hurricanes territory.
14mins: The Waratahs get some rare possession and they drop the ball straight away. They would have better luck winning the lottery right now as nothing, and I mean nothing is going right so far tonight.
11mins: TRY HURRICANES: Jordie Barrett scores the Hurricanes third try. It will be the easiest try he scores in his career. He had miles of space when he caught the ball. The space Barrett had was the same as the distance between Wellington and Sydney.
10mins: Hurricanes have possession just outside the Waratahs 22 and the referee blows a penalty after Will Skelton is called for a dangerous tackle. It is within range, but the Hurricanes decide to kick for touch.

Pre-match banter - Opinion: All Blacks end-of-year tour prospects
By John Day
OPINION: The All Blacks are set to unleash plenty of bolters on the end-of-year tour with two non-Test matches on the cards against the Barbarians and a yet-to-be-named French side.
Coach Steve Hansen gave the likes of Jordie and Scott Barrett, Rieko Ioane and Vaea Fifita their first taste of the All Blacks environment last year, so who should get a call-up in 2017?
Mitchell Drummond - Crusaders halfback
With Tawera Kerr-Barlow taking off at the end of the season, Mitchell Drummond deserves to be the next halfback in the All Blacks pecking order behind Aaron Smith, TJ Perenara and Augustine Pulu.
The 23 year-old Nelson-born number nine has all the right attributes to play at Test level: he's a big man for a halfback at 180 centimetres, has an extremely crisp pass, and is adept both as a starter and as an impact player off the bench.
Michael Fatialofa - Hurricanes lock
Lock is hardly a place that the All Blacks are struggling, with Sam Whitelock, Brodie Retallick, Scott Barrett, Luke Romano, Patrick Tuipulotu, Vaea Fifita and Dominic Bird all in the mix, but Michael Fatialofa is too good to ignore.
The 24 year-old Aucklander spent four seasons in Southland before bursting onto the scene for the Hurricanes last year where he was a massive part of the title-winning team, and has the work-rate and physical attributes to play at the next level.
Richie Mo'unga - Crusaders first-five
The All Blacks will need a third specialist first-five for the end-of-year tour as Aaron Cruden gets set to depart, and Richie Mo'unga should be that man.
The 22-year-old was in the same New Zealand under-20s team as Damien McKenzie and Anton Lienert-Brown in 2014. While he's taken a little bit longer to develop, he's shown for both the Crusaders and Canterbury that he can handle the big stage, and will only get better with the All Blacks - learning off Beauden Barrett and Lima Sopoaga.
Matt Proctor - Hurricanes centre
Another star of the Hurricanes championship-winning team, Matt Proctor's in the middle of a career-best season and is banging down the door to be in the All Blacks end-of-year tour squad.
The 24 year-old's into his fifth season of Super Rugby and the years of tutelage under Conrad Smith are starting to show with Proctor the most defensively sound centre in New Zealand right now, and also an extremely dangerous prospect on attack.
Shaun Stevenson - Chiefs winger
Fast, skilful and with plenty of room to grow, Shaun Stevenson is exactly the type of project that coach Steve Hansen and company would love to get their hands on.
The 20 year-old showed his class at fullback for the New Zealand under-20s last year, and if he can stay fit, the North Shore product would be a perfect candidate to be the next All Blacks apprentice, following in the footsteps of Ardie Savea and Jordie Barrett.
