Defending champion Andy Murray and red-hot Roland Garros winner Rafael Nadal have had the joy of signing a prosthetic leg after both making statements of intent, crushing their second round opponents at The All England Club.
The prosthetic limb was first presented to Andy Murray after he outclassed flamboyant German Dustin Brown 6-3 6-2 6-2 in an entertaining match of exhibition style points.
Murray then alluded to the leg in an Instagram post later on in the day.
It was then Nadal's turn after he swept aside a very frustrated Donald Young 6-4 6-2 7-5.
Nadal was rarely troubled by an opponent ranked 43rd in the world who chose to slug it out from the back of the court against the supreme Spanish baseliner.
Elsewhere in SW12, Petra Kvitova was the big name to fall on the women's side of the draw, losing to unheralded American Madison Brengle 3-6 6-1 2-6.
With the absence of Serena Williams, Kvitova was shaping firmly to be a bookies' favourite with the rest of the women's top 10 seeds struggling for form.
However, there were no such troubles for two-time Australian Open champion Victoria Azarenka who continued her way back to the top of the tennis world from becoming a mother with a shock 6-3 6-3 win over last year's Wimbledon semi-finalist Elena Vesnina.
Crowd favourite Venus Williams also made it through to the third round but did so with a little more turbulence, losing the first set against China's Wang Qiang before overcoming her 4-6 6-4 6-1.
