Blackcaps' batsman Glenn Phillips has signed with the Jamaica Tallawahs for the remainder of the 2017 Caribbean Premier League Season.
The Auckland Aces wicketkeeper was the top run scorer in last year's T20 domestic tournament with 369 runs which earned him a call up to the national side on South Africa's tour of New Zealand.
Auckland Cricket confirmed the South African-born 20-year-old was travelling to join the Tallawahs whose assistant coach is Mark O'Donnell - who is the head coach of the Aces.
"Glenn is valuable to any team he joins as he can turn a game on its head with his batting," O'Donnell said.
"He is also handy behind the stumps so to have him as a keeping option is also helpful for the Tallawahs."
Phillips is the seventh Kiwi to sign with a CPL team with Kane Williamson, Martin Guptill, Brendon McCullum, Colin Munro, Jesse Ryder and Mitchell McClenaghan also taking part in the tournament.
