South Korea's Inbee Park has rocketed up the Women's British Open leaderboard with eight birdies in a superb third-round 64 at Kingsbarns.
However it is Korean In-Kyung Kim who rested control of the tournement - opening up a six-stroke lead on Thailand's Moriya Jutanugarn and England's Georgia Hall.
Victory would represent a breakthrough for the experienced Kim, who has recorded 12 top-10 finishes at major tournaments without victory.
Lydia Ko continues to be a minor player, remaining cemented in a share of 64th place through three rounds.
Ko's position was unchanged as she shot a one-over 73 in Fife, Scotland, leaving her on even-par.
Former world No.1 Ko has struggled for consistency at the Kingsbarns Links course, particularly with her putting.
Her third round on Saturday comprised four bogeys and three birdies, following up rounds of 73 and 70 which proved barely enough to make the cut.
Park, the 29-year-old Olympic champion, bidding for a second British Open title after her 2015 triumph, began the day at two-under and birdied her opening two holes.
She picked up three more shots before the turn and birdied the 11th, 13th and 17th to post an eight-under round and close in on the lead.
American Stacy Lewis, winner in 2013, also took advantage of the relatively kind conditions with a seven-under 65 to move to nine under after her three rounds.
Lewis finished with four consecutive birdies.
