Stage six of the Tour of Poland was business as usual until an unexpected guest challenged the chasing peloton about 100km from the finish line.
The group was cruising along at a stable speed, not too concerned with chasing down the lead riders when they were caught off-guard as a pony decided to launch a surprise attack.
Sensing his opportunity to make hay while the sun shined, the little pony just kept on going and going and going, for around about a minute.
In the end it was down to the riders to decide it was time to stop the fun when Russian rider Roman Maikin ushered the pony to the side of the main road.
The stage was won by Australian Jack Haig.
