New Zealand golfer Ryan Fox has surged up the 2nd round leaderboard at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow in North Carolina.
The 30-year-old fired a superb five-under-par second round of 66 to move to 1-under-par and well under the cut line in his debut at the major championship.
Fox imploded on his back nine in the first round, but rebounded in style with six birdies and a bogey.
The Kiwi sits in eleventh place in the clubhouse with half the field to play their second-round.
Fellow Kiwi Danny Lee's miserable tournament is over, after another blowout left him at 12-over-par.
Lee had complained of illness in the lead-up to the tournament
American Kevin Kisner was the early clubhouse leader at 8-under-par, after his second round of 67.
