All Blacks visit home of one of world's most historic football clubs, River Plate in Buenos Aires

The All Blacks were on hand to watch one of the most storied clubs in the world compete in the Argentine Premier League on Monday (NZT).

River Plate have won 36 first division league titles and were honoured by FIFA in 2000 as the ninth greatest football team of the century.

The touring New Zealand side were the guests of the club president as the South American giants were held to a 1-1 draw by Argentinos Juniors.

The players were gifted club jersey's and paraded around the 61,000 seat stadium at halftime.

The All Blacks play Argentina on Sunday morning (NZT) at the Estadio Jose Amalfitani in Buenos Aires.
