Bournemouth come from behind to beat Brighton in English Premier League

Bournemouth have claimed their first win of the English Premier League season, with a 2-1 win over Brighton and Hove Albion.

After a goal-less first half, the game came to life in the second half when Solly March headed Brighton in front from Pascal Gross's cross in the 55th minute.

Bournemouth hit back 12 minutes later when Andrew Surma slotted home the equaliser.

Minutes later, Jermain Defoe turned in the box and drilled home a clinical finish his first goal for Bournemouth this season.

Defoe last scored for Bournemouth on a loan spell in May 2001.

The win leaves Crystal Palace as the only team without any competition points this season.

The two sides meet again at the Vitality Stadium on Wednesday (NZ time) in the third round of the EFL Cup.
