Kiwi driver Mad Mike Whiddett has claimed another win in the latest round of the Formula Drift Japan series, this time at Okuibuki Motor Park.
Whiddett bounced back after a rocky start to the event, his crash on the opening day thankfully only causing superficial damage.
"We knew we had to be on-point from the get-go as not being here last year meant the rest of the field had that data," said Whiddett post-win.
"But from the first lap of practice we knew this was going to be our track."
The competition now moves to Okayama for the final round of battle at the end of October, and the 36-year-old is still right in the hunt for the title.
