A pitch curator has been suspended for alleged match-fixing ahead of the second India-Blackcaps ODI due to take place on Wednesday at 9:00pm (NZ time).
Video of the sting allegedly shows Pandurang Salgaoncar promising to prepare the Pune pitch to suit two bowlers, who were not named. It's not known whether the bowlers were from the Indian or New Zealand teams.
Word of the alleged match-fixing emerged less than an hour before it was due to begin.
An investigation has already been launched and the match is set to go ahead as planned, despite the controversy.
The pitch is to be inspected by ICC referee Chris Broad, along with umpires, while a BCCI official told ESPN the match will take place on an adjacent pitch if needed.
Salgaoncar has not only been suspended and blocked from tonight's match, but also banned from entering the stadium until the investigation's report is submitted.
It's his second controversy this year, according to ESPN, as Salgaoncar's pitch for the India-Australia Test in March was rated poor by referee Broad.
