Preliminary talks for a bout between Manny Pacquiao and MMA superstar Conor McGregor are underway, according to the Filipino fighter.
The eight-time boxing world champion told Sky Sports UK that his representatives had entered into a negotiation process with McGregor's team regarding a potential fight in April.
"Initially. But we have not yet had any follow-up conversations," Pacquiao said.
"If we can negotiate it, I have no problem. It is OK with both of us."
The 38-year-old, a senator in his native Philippines, took to social media last month to spark some interest by tweeting a poicture of the UFC lightweight champ and imploring him to "stay fit".
However he insists the Irishman is just one of several options on his plate, including a rematch with Australian Jeff Horn to whom he lost his WBO welterweight title in controversial fashion in July.
Meanwhile, McGregor hasn't fought since his 'super fight' against Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas which he lost via 10th-round TKO.
