A Russell Westbrook three with seconds on the clock has propelled the Thunder to a 120-117 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday (NZ time).

The win over the Hawks is the Thunder's third straight as they improve their record to 17-15 on the season.

Westbrook was at his phenomenal best, scoring a game-high 30 points, along with 15 assists and seven rebounds, while teammate Kiwi Steven Adams scored 16 points to go with 10 rebounds.

Fellow Thunder player Carmelo Anthony hit seven three-pointers, which tied the franchise's records for most threes in a match.

The Thunder were the more dominant team in the first half as they took a 64-50 lead into the break, but the Hawks soared back into contention, outscoring the Thunder 31-18 in the third quarter.

In the fourth, it was a back-and-forth tussle between the two teams, but Westbrook's three proved to be the difference in the end.

The Thunder face the Utah Jazz in their next match on Sunday (NZ time) - what will be the fourth and final meeting between the Northwest Division rivals this season.
