One of New Zealand's best young skiers is trading the sun and fun of Wanaka for some of the toughest and coldest environments in the world.
Teenager Craig Murray will be competing on the Freeride Tour - a competition so elite, only a few dozen athletes make the grade.
The 19-year-old is one of two New Zealanders to competing in the event, with 26-year-old Sam Lee also participating.
The tour sees them compete in Japan, Canada, Andorra, Australia and Switzerland.
