All Blacks and Crusaders forwards Joe Moody and Luke Romano have channelled their inner 'southern man', as they helped a stranded truck get back on its way.

The Super Rugby side were travelling to Greymouth for a pre-season hit-out against the Hurricanes, when they ran into trouble at Arthur's Pass.

A travelling truck caused a road blockage, as it battled to make it up a steep hill.

The prop-lock combo leapt to action and lent their muscles to pull the 14-wheeler to higher ground, a feat any strongman would be proud of.

Neither will feature in the match against the Hurricanes, but are already showcasing their intent to pack down in the new season.
