Kiwi Dan Hooker will fight MMA veteran Jim Miller at UFC Fight Night 128 in Atlantic City, New Jersey on April 22 (NZT).

Hooker is coming off a fantastic 2017, where he went undefeated with victories over Ross Pearson and Mark Diakese.

The 28-year-old had his hand raised five times in his seven-fight UFC career, winning each by way of stoppage.

His new opponent is arguably his toughest to date.

Miller currently holds the record for the most wins in the UFC lightweight division, and is a numerous 'Fight of the Night' honouree.

He is currently on a three-fight losing streak, and is on the backend of an illustrious career.

Hooker's fight will be just a week after the organisation's newest darling, and fellow Kiwi, Israel Adesanya's bout with Italian Marvin Vettori at UFC on Fox 29.

Adesanya announced himself to the world with a stunning highlight-reel knockout win over Rob Wilkinson in his UFC debut, earning 'Performance of the Night' honours.
