Laura Langman has made herself unavailable for selection for the Siler Ferns at the Commonwealth Games.

The midcourt veteran wants no part of the Gold Coast staged event, and will subsequently not be named in the playing squad.

There had been on-going discussions between Langman and Netball New Zealand (NNZ) about a return to the national side.

However CEO Jennie Wyllie has told Newshub that Langman is enjoying her downtime and won't be making herself available for selection.

The 31-year-old last played for New Zealand in 2016 before she signed with Australian side, the Sunshine Coast Lightning, effectively putting her international career on hold due to NNZ's regulations.

She terminated her contract with the Lightning in November of last year, fuelling speculation she would make a return to the game in New Zealand.
