Steven Adams makes emphatic Thunder return with dominant double-double

Steven Adams made an emphatic return from a brief injury absence with a stand-out performance in a win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday (NZT).

The Kiwi center anchored both ends of the court for the Thunder, posting a gaudy stat line of 18 points and 14 rebounds to go along with three steals and five blocks, while showing no ill-effects of the hip injury that saw him miss Wednesday's win against the Hawks.

It's Adams' 24th double-double of the season as the fifth-year player continues his rapid rate of improvement.

The Thunder are in the midst of a five-game win-streak as they jostle for position in a logjammed Western Conference.

They currently sit in fourth seed with just a handful of regular season games remaining, hot on the tail of the streaking Trailblazers and just a few games above the Timberwolves.

They now travel to Canada to take on the Easter Conference-leading Toronto Raptors on Monday (NZT).
