Winter Paralympics: Corey Peters leads New Zealand team at opening ceremony

Corey Peters lead a small group of proud New Zealanders around PyeongChang's Olympic Stadium during the opening ceremony for the Paralympic Winter Games.

The 34-year-old is one of three Kiwi athletes competing at the event in South Korea, alongside Adam Hall and Carl Murphy.

In total, 567 Paralympians will be competing in PyeongChang.

New Zealand athlete schedule (NZT):

  • March 10: Para alpine skiing - Downhill, 13:30 - 16:30 - Corey Peters and Adam Hall
  • March 11: Para alpine skiing - Super G, 13:00 - 17:00 Corey Peters and Adam Hall
  • March 12: Para snowboard - 14:30 - 21:00 - Carl Murphy
  • March 13: Para alpine skiing - Super Combined, 13:30 - 17:00; Para alpine skiing - Super Combined, 19:00 - 21:00 - Corey Peters and Adam Hall
  • March 14: Para alpine skiing - Slalom, 13:30 - 16:30; Para alpine skiing - Slalom, 18:00 - 19:30 - Corey Peters and Adam Hall
  • March 16: Para snowboard - Banked Slalom, 14:30 - 20:55 - Carl Murphy
