Blackcaps captain Kane Williamson's red-hot Indian Premier League form has continued as he led his Sunrisers Hyderabad side to victory on Friday morning (NZ time).
Williamson hit an unbeaten 83 off 53 balls as the Sunrisers comfortably chased down the Delhi Daredevils' 187-5 in Delhi on Friday (NZT).
Delhi's big total was built around a superb 128 not out from 63 balls by Rishabh Pant - who blasted with 15 fours and seven sixes in innings.
On another night, Pant's blistering assault might have been a match-winning one, but not this time as Hyderabad chased down the massive total with seven balls to spare and just the loss of one wicket.
Williamson hit eight fours and two sixes in his 53-ball innings, while his teammate Shikhar Dhawan finished 92 not out in the nine-wicket win.
Williamson moves to second overall on the IPL's leading runscorer list for this season, with his 493 runs and six half-centuries to his name.
It was the Sunrisers' ninth win in 11 games as they retain top spot in the IPL standings.
