Kane Williamson's Sunrisers Hyderabad have qualified for Monday morning's (NZ time) IPL final after beating Kolkata Knight Riders by 13 runs.

The Blackcaps skipper only managed three runs, but the rest of his team stood up to secure the win.

Afghan teenager Rashid Khan stood out for the Sunrisers by smashing an unbeaten 34 off 10 balls to guide Hyderabad to 174/7, after they were put in to bat first in the playoffs at Eden Gardens.

Kolkata seemed to be cruising in their response before Rashid left them spellbound with his fast leg-spinners, claiming 3-19 in his four overs.

If that was not enough, Rashid was also involved in the run out of Nitish Rana, and then took two catches under pressure while fielding close to the boundary rope in the final over.

Two-time champions Kolkata could only manage 161/9 in their chase.

Hyderabad will now face the Stephen Fleming-coached to Chennai Super Kings in the final in Mumbai.

Blackcaps spinner Ish Sodhi is also a player with the Super Kings.
