NRL: Hooker Issac Luke ruled out for Warriors against Roosters

Hooker Issac Luke has lost his race to be fit for the Warriors' clash with the Sydney Roosters on Saturday night at Mt Smart Stadium.

The veteran dummy half dislocated his shoulder during the second half against Wests Tigers last week and tried to make onfield repairs, before eventually heading to the sideline.

While he was named in the starting line-up against the Roosters, Luke has now been scratched. He will be replaced by newcomer Karl Lawton, who came on to score two tries in the 26-4 romp over Wests - his first outing for the Warriors, since arriving from the Gold Coast Titans.

Utility Jazz Tevaga will cover the hooker role off the bench.

Luke has been in the wars over recent weeks - he was expected to miss several weeks after suffering a knee injury against the Melbourne Storm on April 25, but recovered sufficiently to take the field against Wests.
