The Chiefs have bounced back from their shock loss to the Jaguares by beating the Stormers 15-9 in Cape Town on Sunday morning (NZT).

The visitors' dominant forward pack proved the difference in a low-scoring and often scrappy affair, getting the better of their opposites across the park to snap the Stormers' home win streak.

Anton Lienert-Brown opened the scoring in his 50th game for the Chiefs, looming in support for a deft Solomon Alaimalo offload, after an awkward bounce from a deep Damian McKenzie deep kick.

The Chiefs put the game to bed with a penalty try from a scrum, after a period of sustained pressure 15 minutes from fulltime.

The locals managed just the three penalties from the boot of Damian Willemse, as the New Zealand side's defence held firm throughout the contest.

The Chiefs, without their four All Blacks, now travel to Durban to take on the Sharks next Sunday morning (NZT).
