Rugby: Jordie Barrett's girlfriend's cheeky reference to McDonald's incident

Jordie Barrett may have put his McDonalds mistake behind him - but his girlfriend hasn't.

Alice Marshall, a Lincoln University student, posted a photo of the couple on the field at Eden Park on Saturday, after the All Blacks v France test match.

"My shout Maccas tonight," she wrote - a reference to her partner's late-night mix-up last weekend.

Last Saturday morning, after the Hurricanes lost their Super Rugby clash against the Highlanders at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin, Barrett and a mate decided to drop in on an old friend in the Otago University district.

However the pair accidentally wandered into the wrong house. They were discovered munching food from McDonalds in the living room by some complete strangers.

Police and university security were called at about 5am, but the two young men were released without charges being laid.

Clearly Ms Marshall was amused by the mix-up - although it could be a while before she trusts Barrett with picking up their takeaways.
