Kiwi NBA star Steven Adams talks Fortnite, golf and dinner guests

Our very own Steven Adams is back in New Zealand.

As expected, the 24-year old's spending a lot of his off-season in the gym, working on the craft that's helped him become one of the best centres in the NBA.

But you won't just find him in the gym.

In August, the 'Big Kiwi' is hosting his second Steven Adams Golf Invitational, calling on some of New Zealand's best-known athletes to take to the links to help raise awareness for Pathways New Zealand.

Adams assures us his game has improved since the tournament's inception last year.

"I thought I did a pretty good job. I'm not sacrificing any of my main stuff for it, but I think I’ve put in quite a good effort."

While basketball obviously comes first, Adams' newly formed addiction to the video game that's sweeping the globe - Fortnite - has him rethinking his priorities.

"I do need to cut back on the Fortnite, it is coming to that time. I don’t want to be 'that guy'."
