NBA finals: Kevin Durant masterclass leaves Warriors within one-win of NBA crown

Kevin Durant has stolen the show with a 43-point performance in game three of the NBA finals in Cleveland.

The Golden State Warriors are one win away from a third NBA championships in four years after a 110-102 win over LeBron James and the Cavaliers.

Durant's massive night was timely with 'Splash Brothers' Steph Curry and Klay Thompson shooting bricks through all four quarters.

"That was amazing what he did out there tonight," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said.

"Some of those shots, I don't think anybody in the world can hit those but him. He was incredible."

Curry went one-for-ten from the three-point line, finally draining a deep effort with two minutes on the clock.

Curry finished with 11-points while Thompson scored 10 on a night Durant showed his pedigree as one of the top three players in the league.

The Cavs will see game three as an opportunity lost with Durant the only Golden State player tp score more than 11-points.

James earned a triple-double including 33-points and he was admirably backed up by Kevin Love (20) and Rodney Hood (15).

Cleveland led until a majority of the first three-quarters and swapped the lead with the Warriors throughout the final frame.

The nail in the Cavs coffin came with just under a minute to play when Durant nailed a ridiculously long three-point shot which took the Warriors lead beyond a basket, a lead they would keep.

"He's one of the best one-on-one players in our league. Top two best players in our league," said Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue.

"Holding Steph to 11 points and Klay to 10, you would think you would win that game. So the guys did a good job on those two guys.

"And I thought Durant hurt us with his one-on-one, getting to the free-throw line a little bit. But his one-on one ability really saved them again tonight."

Game four is again in Cleveland with 'King James' and his cohorts looking to prevent the first NBA finals sweep since 2007.
