Newshub's Michael O'Keeffe swaps football boots for ice hockey skates

What happens when you take an Olympic football goalie and start firing ice hockey pucks at him?

Newshub reporter Michael O'Keeffe, who represented New Zealand between the sticks at the London Olympics, fronted up to touring American and Canadian All-Stars on the ice at Auckland's Spark Arena.

Staying upright proved a major challenge - and then they began bombarding him with shots.

"Nothing could have prepared me for that," says O'Keeffe. "Just walking to the ice rink with the pads on was tough enough, then trying to skate was even tougher.

"They told me I would be sore afterwards and I am definitely feeling it now."
