Rugby League: Jordan Rapana out of Kiwis selection equation

  • 10/06/2018

Kiwis winger Jordan Rapana has been ruled out of the controversial Denver test against England, after tearing a hamstring in NRL action on Friday.

Rapana, 28, was carted off Canberra Stadium in the 58th minute of Canberra's heartbreaking 23-22 loss to Penrith Panthers. Scans have shown the injury to be serious, with an expected return date about two months away.

The test is scheduled for June 23, with new New Zealand coach Michael Maguire expected to name his team this week.

Before his injury, Rapana had shown a glimpse of his best form this season, scoring a try and unleashing a 40-20 kick for territory.
