Fulltime: The Blues play out a couple of tackles....crowd going nuts and the Blues players join them in celebration. Gotta say Gus Gould has been awful on commenatry tonight...needs to check his Blues ties at the door. Anyway what a great game - Blues deserved that off the back of great defence in the last 30mins. Set for a great era of Origin with two young and exciting sides.

79mins: Knock on QLD on the last tackle kick from Maloney and that will be it!!!

78mins: QLD stretch the Blues again through Holmes..he kicks ahead but Tedesco collects it brilliantly...and they earn a penalty. Huge. Roberts back on in 30 seconds.

77mins: QLD will need to go the length. Nice finish to the set from Maloney finds touch 20m out.

76mins: Great defence from the Blues. Slater and Inglis involved in every tackle..on the last Chambers kicks but it goes dead..7 tackle set for the Blues.

74mins: QLD hold on and now win a penalty....trip from Peachey. Game is on the line here. QLD on the attack 40m out.

73mins: Big penalty for the Blues...bad tackle from Chambers...this will buy time for NSW. Blues go on attack 25m out.

72mins: QLD stretching the Blues outwide..Holmes put into a hole by Inglis but a superb tackle from Cleary saves the day again for the Blues. 

70mins: Hunt kicks on the 3rd!!!  What are you doing mate...ball goes dead and the Blues are off the hook for now.

69mins: Ponga makes a break..brilliant play as he ghosts through  4 would-be tacklers on halfway..great cover from Tedesco..on the last and Munster kicks...Gavin Cooper is obstructed by James Roberts on the kick and he will get 10mins in the bin for a preofessional foul. No penalty try given. Huge moment.

66mins: Great ball movement from the Blues sees Maloney set Mitchell free..he bumps off Hunt but Kaufusi comes from nowhere with a covering tackle..Mitchell's attempted miracle pass to Addo-Carr is loose and floats over the sideline.

63mins: TRY QUEENSLAND - Will Chambers - Only have themselves to blame the Blues. Gave the ball back twice in 2-minutes with silly errors. Munster shifts the ball right off a quick play the ball...Chambers fends off Mitchell and crashes over in the corner in an Addo-Carr tackle. Holmes can't convert. NSW 18 - QLD 14.

61mins: Endless attack from QLD..NSW keep handing back the ball inside their own half.

59mins: Great defence from the Blues shuts down a last tackle play from QLD. Addo-Carr took a risk coming off his wing but wrapped up Chambers ball and all 10m out.

58mins: Penalty for the Maroons inside Blues half. The start on the 35.

57mins: Blues find good field position after a penalty but a poor last tackle option gifts the ball back to the Maroons.

55mins: Maroons blow it. Slater passes under pressure and the ball floats forward as Gagai was set to score. 

54mins: QLD will get another set as Munster's kick comes off Mitchell and goes over the sideline. Scrum 10m.

53mins: Poor set from NSW has the Maroons on halfway on tackle 1.

50mins: TRY NSW - Latrell MItchell - Quick play the ball from Maloney..Tedesco goes shortside 5m out, finds Mitchell who runs over Chambers to score. Massive moment in the game. Maloney nails a huge kick from out wide and that gives the Blues some breathing space. NSW 18 - QLD 10.

49mins: Another set for NSW...Ponga played Maloney's kick on the last and the Blues recover the ball. Huge pressure on the Maroons here.

47mins: Mistake from Hunt after a big Paul Vaughan / Latrell Mitchell double tackle and the Blues have the ball 20m out.

45mins: Teams exchange a sets..Addo-Carr almost gets away but Inglis saves a try with his last ditch tackle on halfway...Slater returns the ball and finds a flying Holmes but Tedesco covers well. OLD then bomb a 4 on 1 as Chambers' pass  goes over the sideline..that was a a deadset try if the pass had stuck.

43mins: Great reply from the Maroons has Inglis almost breaking through on tackle 4..he is brough down by Roberts 15m out..Munster kicks but Trbojevic does well and the Blues habe the ball.

41mins: Great set from the Blues to start has QLD bringing the ball back from their own 20.

Kickoff - Inglis gets us back underway.

Just about set to get going here for the second forty - that was a great half with both sides proving danherous with ball in hand. QLD had the better of play but trail by 2-points. 

Halftime: Comes to nothing as Munster's kick is cleaned up by Tedesco. Great half of footy that flew by. Maroons owned the first 25, then the Blues the next 10...QLD came home strong but the Blues held on..just. Be back in 10mins.

39mins: And they will get another few tackles here as Munster's kick earns them a repeat set with 45 secs left.

38mins: QLD have a chance here after a great defensive set that gets NSW only to their own 30m line. Halfway on tackle 2.

36mins: Close but not quite. Munster with a cross kick and Gagai is there but it just floats over his head...he likely would have scored. NSW scrum on theor own 10.

34mins: Good set from QLD but it comes to nothing as Munster kicks for Slater but Tedesco is there. Oh the get another chance here..Vaughan loses the ball and Ponga recovers on the 20.

31mins: PENALTY TRY BLUES - Yep the referee agrees with me and that's a 6-pointer. He would have scored had Hunt not obstructed him. Great kick from Maloney. Hunt stays on the park. NSW 12 - OLD 10.

31mins: Could be a penalty try for the Blues here with Boyd Cordner obstructed without the ball by Ben Hunt - he would have scored for sure from that kick....Hunt could cop a sinbin here too.

30mins: More ball for the Blues....Ponga pinged for offside on tackle 4. Blues start 10m out.

27mins: QLD get a lucky break...Holmes looks to have lost the ball forward collecting a high ball but rulkes backwards.....karma a few tackles later..Chambers is tackled close to the line and puts his hand on the chalk...attacking set for the Blues. Kalyn Ponga is on.

25mins: TRY NSW - Josh Addo-Carr - Blues score on their first visit....Maloney runs the ball on tackle 5....a long pass from the former Warriors half finds Addo-Carr who steps Gagai and steps Chambers to score a great try...Maloney with a dangerous face pass but it pays off this time. Maloney drills it from close to the sideline. QLD 10 - NSW 6.

23mins: Teams exchange a couple of fairly regular sets. QLD kick again..Tedesco safe as houses under the high ball. Penalty for NSW...Chambers offside. Blues go on the attack.

19mins: TRY QUEENSLAND - Dane Gagai - Slater is everywhere. Ben Hunt takes the ball to the line and gets a pass out the back to Slater who finds Chambers..Chambers draws in Addo-Carr and sets Gagai free down the right..he fends off Addo-Carr and tip-toes down the sideline to score in the corner. Holmes converts. QLD 10 - NSW 0.

17mins: Mitchell in the thick of things early on, both god and bad. This time he breaks through a Chambers tackle and sets Addo-Carr away but good cover from Gagai drags the Storm winger into touch 25m out.

16mins: Another idiot play from Latrell Mitchell who takes Dane Gagai in the air off a high kick from Cleary..penalty QLD.

15mins: Poor kick from Ben Hunt in the thrid tackle has the Blues on halfway at tackle two.

13mins: TRY QUEENSLAND - Valentine Holmes - The Slater, Inglis combo is creating havoc down the Blues right edge....Trbojevic comes off his wing not trusting his centre James Roberts leaving Holmes unmarked - he runs 10m to score in the corner. Slater is making a huge difference. Kick is no good. QLD 4 - NSW 0.

11mins: Repeat set for QLD. Gagai with a kick on the last, collected in goal by Tedesco but he is hammered in a two man tackle.

10mins: Attacking set for NSW after Napa was pinged. Mitchell creating havoc for the Maroons..on the last Maloney with a little chip bomb that Mitchell grabs but a great tackle from Chambers shuts it down. Maroons on the attack now after another penalty.

8mins: Wow Queensland go super close through Dane Gagai...scrum move with Slater involved again..Gagai over in an Addo-Carr tackle and he looks to have scored...TMO says no try - his right foot just grazed the line a frame before he got the ball down. Nice work from the Storm winger.

7mins: Chance for the Maroons, who look slick..Slater in the line again but Tom Trbojevic gets a hand on it with the line open for Holmes..scrum QLD.

6mins: Superb defensive set from the Blues but poor discipline from Mitchell who drags Chambers over the sideline after a tackle was completed. That was on the 4th - very silly. QLD on the attack now.

4mins: Great last play from the Maroons - Slater is the extra man in the line and sets Valentine Holmes free who kicks for Slater but it rebounds off Addo-Carr....NSW's get the ball back.

3mins: Teams exchange a couple of sets - Tedesco safe as a bank under the high ball.

1min: Good first defensive set from NSW's - they start on their own 35.

Kickoff - James Maloney gets the game underway - Dylan Napa with the first hitup.

9.47pm: An absolute sea of sky blue as you would expect.....Greg Inglis leads out Queensland to a chorus of boo's.

9.40pm: Brad Fitler wants his side to play more football tonight - he didn't feel they expressed themselves enough in Game One. They certainly have the tools to implement that.

9.36pm: The Maroons will be hopeful Kayln Ponga can add some much needed X-factor tonight - the Blues had a clear bench edge in Game 1 but Ponga is electric and could change the state of play.
