Football Ferns need homegrown coach after Andreas Heraf debacle

New Zealand Football's been urged to seriously consider a homegrown successor to Andreas Heraf.

The Austrian resigned as both Football Ferns coach and New Zealand Football's technical director, after allegations of bullying and intimidation towards his players.

Heraf's departure could prompt the return of the country's best player under a Kiwi coach.
